I have been a delegate for the last eight years, I want to continue since I can contribute my knowledge and experience due to my work as honorary consul; and my activities with a number of Swiss clubs helps me to understand the needs of the Swiss abroad.

Born and raised in Switzerland, Franco has been living in Los Angeles since 1992 with his wife and son.

 

Positions:

• Honorary Consul of Switzerland

Representing and supporting the Swiss Community in Southern California.

• Member of the “Council of the Swiss Abroad”

• Executive Committee Member of the “Los Angeles Consular Corps”

The Consuls General and Honorary Consuls of 99 countries form the world’s third-largest consular corps and the second largest in the U.S. Each member is appointed by their home government and accepted by the U.S. federal government to represent their interests.

• Treasurer of the “Los Angeles Swiss Relief Society”

The Swiss Relief Society provides assistance to Swiss citizens in need.

• Member of the “Santa Barbara Swiss Club”

• Member of “Swiss Park Inc.”

Active member of Swiss Park and the Santa Barbara Swiss Club, Treasurer of the Swiss Relief Society, Organizer of the Swiss Mixer Los Angeles, Organizer of a "Jass" group in Los Angeles.
